UMO Panel for Researchers

The UMO panel aims to collect data about the travel behaviour, use of travel modes, attitudes toward and opinions about urban transportation of residents of the urban areas of Amsterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, Delft and Alkmaar. These data are collected over multiple years in order to investigate the development in travel behaviour, attitudes and opinions over time in a dynamic urban context, in which the introduction of new forms of mobility, energy transition and urban transformations will have a major impact on urban mobility. Apart from repeated questionnaires on the above issues, the UMO panel offers opportunities for ad hoc questionnaires about specific topics. For example, the UMO panel was recently invited, as part of the MOCOLODO project (https://mocolodo.nl/) to fill out a questionnaire about the impact of COVID-19 on their current and future travel behaviour. The first recruitment for UMO has taken place in the fall of 2021, and resulted in more than 3,000 participants. The UMO panel is subject to strict privacy protocols, which are monitored by the privacy officer of Utrecht University.
